Even More on Sandy Bullins: You cannot say enough about this guy. He's worked on my Saab several times, and the only one that will from now on. He's honest, hardworking, and VERY reasonably priced for the great work that he does! This guy came to my house on a Sat, even when he did not know me at all, and fixed my saab. I have tried other local big names in saab repair shops (in GSO and W-Salem) and they don't even come close to the quality, honesty and workmanship that Sandy provides. The only problem is...I wished he worked on various other types of cars as well- Can we clone him? Submitted by Deborah Opalski
Sandy has worked on my Saab 900s since 1992. He worked on my new one at the Saab dealership in Greensboro. Since then I have had four more 900s, Sandy is the only one that has worked on them. Sandy knows Saabs!!!! He is very reasonable priced and does what he says he will do. Submitted by Wayne Burgess
Joe's Autoshop is primarily a Jaguar repair place. There are lots ofSeries III XJ models laying around. Sandy Bullins, Joe's son repairs Saabson the side. His full time job is at a local dealer. He allows you to useyour own parts and doesn't charge much for labor at all. I was charged $80in labor for a job which included changing the rear motor mount, thedogbone mount, the charcoal canister and the pollen filter. He is anextremely nice person and is willing to help. I tried actually to give himmore, and he wouldn't accept it. Try him out if you live in theGreensboro/HighPoint/Winston Salem area. Leave a message with his dad atthe shop with your # and he will get back with you. Submitted by Henry Stowe
Read about Sandy on the Saabnet mechanics list and decided to call him aboutsome oil leaks on a 96 900SET I had just purchased. Very nice guy. Diagnosedthe problem, invited me to watch and learn about Saabs, fixed the problem, and came in below his already low estimate. It doesn't get any better thanthis! I highly recommend him! More on Sandy Bullins. He has serviced three 9000's and one 9'3 since 1995 for our family. I have never had anyone diagnose, remedy and explainmechanical problems with anywhere near the skill and expertise of Sandy. I trust Sandy and his ability to keep us safe, operational, and satisfied, all at a level that is exceptional, while charging exceedingly reasonable prices. He has maintained our new Saabs and also has been challenged with a used Saab we bought which was in terrible condition. Rarely does one have complete confidence in someone's ability and integrity, so, wherever you are, it is well worth the drive, for both you and your Saab, to seek out Sandy Bullins. I got a 1995 saab 9000 turbo with a bad knock in the engine. I called Sandy and asked him how much to replace the engine if I got the engine myself, and he quoted me a great price. During every step of the new install Sandy allowed me to watch and even assist in all aspects of the work. I've been driving the car for about six months now without any problems what so ever with the engine. I'ver even had several other problems with the car which sandy diagnosed and took care of. I would highly recommend Sandy to anyone with a Saab. These cars a little testy and need to be taken care of properly and Sandy does an excellent job of that. I'm a firm believer if you take care of your Saab It will definitely take care of you and give you long years of enjoyment. I'll never take My Saab anywhere else. As long as I own a Saab Sandy will be my Mechanic. Sandy is by far the best. saab master 15 years. he will explain step by step the work to you. he understands the customer. he will go out of his way to make sure the customer is happy.give him a call you want be sorry. About Sandy....I used to break out in a cold sweat every time my car needed repair. I was afraid to walk into the dealership and be told that my car might not live unless I pumped thousands of $$$ into it...... NOT ANYMORE.......Now I have Sandy the super hero of SAABs and just my luck, Jaguars. My car had been in and out of the dealership repair shop for 2 months without the problem being fixed but always a new problem cropping up! Finally I found Sandy, he diagnosed and fixed my car in one day and was actually apologetic when he had to tell me that the bill came to $90. He went over the whole car and did his magic and when I pulled away from the garage my car felt new again.. He actually loves working on Saabs and goes that extra mile to fix even the little things. Now I bring all three of my cars to him, I have never met a more honest hard working guy. I will never go anywhere else. Never, Never, Never
Submitted by Norma Burkhardt, Greensboro We had the same disappointment every Saab owner experiences when this great car needs service and you try the dealer: price gouging, incompetance and lip service. Sandy combines the best of all worlds: experience, competance, professionalism, fairness, honesty and integrity. Thanks for all your help! Michael & AnaPlease add the following to the "Testimonials" page": I am so very fortunate to have Sandy Bullins do the repairs, regular service and maintenance on my Saab! He has done a great job and for a fraction of what the Saab dealership would have charged me. I’m so lucky to have found him -- I will never take my Saab anywhere else! On top of it, he is a really nice and generous person who will go out of his way to help you. You will never regret taking your car to his shop; indeed, your only regret will be that you didn’t take it there earlier! Kerstin Sorensen

Thanks for the wonderful service replacing our fuel pump and for allowing us to tow the vehicle in on the weekend. It was an expensive lesson to learn not to run out of gas, but your speed, pricing and thoroughness eased the pain. We will be calling the next time we need Saab service. Michael Somero
July 2009. I have a 1994 900S Convertible and recently moved to North Carolina from New Jersey. I will do regular maintenance and most light repairs on my Saab. I found myself in need of a good Saab Mechanic when the head gasket began to leak. I found Sandy through Saabnet and went to his web site. I trusted the testimonials and contacted him. He is the genuine article, truly a master Saab mechanic and gentlemen as well. He agreed to repair my car and I asked him to look it over carefully and make any other repair he found necessary. The end result was the return of my Saab with the head gasket replaced and running better than ever. Sandy's attention to detail still makes me smile every time I open the hood. The engine compartment was cleaned and all maintenance items were brought up to date. He even replace minor vacuum hoses that were questionable. His price was fair. The quality of his work and attention to detail was far beyond what you would find in a dealership. Mr. Bullins is the real deal and a really nice guy as well.
Sandy, Thanks for a great repair. My father was a Master Mechanic and owned his own shop in New York. I grew up watching him work and learned a lot from him. He never deviated from his commitment to quality work. Today some would say his work ethic was "old school". I think your Dad may have been cast from the same mold because you must have had a really good example to follow.
After Michael picked up my car I had a chance to look at your work the next morning. I need to tell you, when I opened the hood and looked at all of your touch points I thought my Father had work on my car. He passed away in 92 and I know he would have admired your work.
Best Regards Terry

The Saab Site (http://www.thesaabsite.com/)Just want to add my thanks and my voice to the chorus singing the praises of Sandy Bullins, the tech expert at this site and the owner of Bullins Saab Repair in High Point, North Carolina. While visiting the area I had some unexpected mechanical trouble with my Classic 900. After a moment of panic, I remembered having read a bunch of nice things about this Saab guy named Sandy in NC on the Saabnet and the Saab Site. I looked him up, called and even though it was afterhours he called me right back. Luckily he was less than an hour away. The next day Sandy opened up his shop to me and bent over backwards to make sure that I was back on the road. Sandy is a nice person, loves Saabs and is definitely not in this game just for the money. If you own a Saab and are anywhere in the area, do yourself a favor and look him up: 336-391-3092 or http://bullinssaabrepair.com/. I promise you won't be sorry.
My name is David B. Leonard and I live in Asheboro, N. C. Two years ago I bought my first Saab which is a classic 1995 900S convertible with 56,000 actual miles in showroom condition. I went to Saabnet and that's where I found numerous testimonials about Sandy Bullins. I was delighed to discover that Sandy's business was located in nearby High Point, N. C. Sandy knows every nut and bolt about Saabs. Based on my experience with Sandy, I bought another Saab for my daughter because I know that Sandy can service anything that might go wrong with it. Sandy keeps his overhead low so he can provide services at a reasonable cost to his customers. He is the most honest, friendly, professional master technician that I have ever met. If you own a Saab, I can highly recommend him for the care of your car.
Last year I was given a Saab CS9000 for my daughter to take to college in Boone. Knowing this car would be good in the Boone winter weather because of its front-wheel drive, I was excited for her to have it. Well, the car first needed a little help with several repairs. Luckily, a friend told me about Sandy Bullins in High Point. I took my Saab to Sandy and he fixed everything I asked for at a reasonable price. I have since taken the Saab to Sandy for other things and I can honestly tell you this: if you have a Saab that needs repair, you need to go see Sandy Bullins. He knows how to fix Saabs. He is a pleasure to deal with and his prices are very reasonable. You won't be disappointed.

I don't have a question, but a comment...I am very grateful that Wayne recommended me to you. I have had problems with my 2001 Saab 93 for about 4 years since I bought it used from a friend. It would start sometimes and then again it wouldn't. I would not turn it off at the gas pump for fear that it wouldn't start up again for up to an hour. I took the car to the Saab dealership in Greensboro and Winston-Salem.I spent several thousands of $$$$ on it. Each time they would replace something and claim that was the fix...the last time which was last Jan. I was told by the service manager that I might as well forget it because Saabs were only a bucket of bolts and I would continue pumping money in it. Yet he assured me that it was fixed. I never left the dealership with less than $800.00 in repair cost and still no fix. I found out about Sandy by accident. I was at a car wash in Burlington one day when the owner of the car wash asked who were driving the Saab. He gave me Sandy's card and assured me that if it could be fixed Sandy could fix it...I said yea right....finally a couple of weeks ago I broke down and called Sandy. Told him the problem and he said not a problem drop it off. I dropped it off and told me almost immediately what he thought it was but would call me and let me know the next day. He called as he promised and told me that he had checked it out and would run more test but he was positive that he could fix it. He said that it was the Transmission Position Switch/Sensor. He called me on 4.6.2010 and told me that it was ready and I could pick it up any time. He said the cost was $365.00. I almost fell out of my seat. He only charged $105.00 for labor. I am very pleased with the repair. A few hours after I left he called to check on the car...I am most pleased. If this is the fix and I am sure it is because it has not cut off or failed to start since, then I will always be a customer. Best wishes..repair guy..

Thank you for fixing my car after 6 weeks of frustration with another mechanic... I really appreciate it!
Sandy Bullins evaluated a used Saab for us and we found him to be very thorough in his evaluation. He checked, the undercarriage, interior, engine, as well as the exterior. Upon completion of his inspection he offered his opinion of the overall vehicles condition with an itemized list of things needing to be repaired.
Sandy was very knowlagable, professional, and friendly. This combined with his competitive pricing would arguably put him at the top of the list of Saab mechanics in the region if not the country!
Thanks Sandy!

Sandy has worked on my Saab since it decided to stop running all the time about a year ago. (It has since been fixed!). Sandy came to my rescue when the car decided to leave me stranded both at home and when out running errands. He's a great guy and knows his Saabs. His rates are reasonable and his work VERY high quality! I won't go back to a dealer for a repair again. My 04 9-3 is a happy car, maintained by Sandy!
